Gerrit’s Vision for Our Guild
[NL.] Goud Graaiers:
To foster a community where diverse playstyles and languages converge for seamless and enjoyable cooperation.
Faction Alignment and Your Gameplay:
Our guild operates as a flotilla and will continue to do so unless a WIC / Dutch faction is introduced to the game, or when we have build up our guild cohesion and strength for port battles, at which point we can pledge our allegience if the majority of our members wishes for a pledge.
So what does this mean for you, our valued members?
-
No Faction Affiliation: We are not tied to any specific faction, meaning we cannot participate in port battles.
-
Freedom to Engage: There are no reputation requirements within our guild. Members are free to engage with other factions as they see fit. (Please note: We strive to maintain friendly relations with other Dutch guilds.)
-
Neutrality for Safety: By maintaining an allied reputation with all factions, you significantly reduce the amount of hostile encounters from other players.
Our Unique Approach: How We Operate
Organized Squads:
Experience coordinated team play with well-crafted strategies designed to ensure collective safety and maximize profit for everyone. Each member plays a crucial role, eliminating the risk of anyone being left vulnerable.
Every organized squad features a dedicated squad leader in voice chat to provide clear directions. Squad leaders can also communicate with each other across different voice channels, facilitating multi-squad cooperation. For optimal teamwork, we highly recommend joining your squad leader’s voice channel on TeamSpeak.
While you are welcome to casually join an organised squad without voice chat, please be aware that TeamSpeak is our primary communication method for coordinated efforts, with in-game chat being secondary. Squad leaders find it challenging to manage situations effectively while constantly typing. Therefore, if you choose to tag along without voice communication, effective communication with your squad will be limited, and you will need to independently monitor your squad mates’ movements.
Chill / Laid-Back Squads:
We understand that not every session calls for intense focus. Our chill squads are perfect for those times when you want to relax, socialize, and sail together without the pressure of leading or strictly following a squad leader.
Chill squads can opt for voice chat or remain entirely text-based. However, it is advisable for the squad leader to be in a TeamSpeak squad channel to facilitate communication with other squad leaders, should the need arise.

SLAVE CAPTURING
Thursday July 30th at 20:00 / 8pm
What will we be doing?
Be sure to gather at Everston port before 20:00, at this time we will have a short mission briefing to coordinate ourselves. and then we will leave the port together.
We’ll sail into the direction of the iron mine to the North West of port Everston and we’ll be blockading the trade routes to capture all the ships we can and have their crew “voluntarily change employer”.
We’ll work together to capture as many slaves as possible so be sure to bring a boarding loadout. If you don’t want to or dont have a boarding loadout to bring, you’re more then welcome to help us get the health of the enemy ships down so your fellow squad mates can do the boarding instead as we will be sharing the loot in the end anyway.
IMPORTANT!!
Everston is rate 2 shallows, so for those with rate 1 ships, you can sail it over from a rate 1 port and wait just outside the shallows.
The goal is efficiency and fun!
Boarding must haves:
Special crew: Scout & recruiter.
Scout will give you ALOT more captives so you’re wasting your own and your squadmates profit by boarding if you do not have this crew. And recruiter just makes boarding easier by allowing you to have a larger crew size
